Confidentiality
Walker Clark, LLC, treats all information received from clients as confidential; and we take all reasonable measures to prevent its disclosure to third parties without your consent. We do not share or disclose within our firm any information that you provide during this engagement, except to those Walker Clark members actively working on the project or who otherwise have a legitimate need to know this information.
It is our policy not to disclose the names of active Walker Clark clients without the client's prior consent. Therefore, we will not use an active client as a reference for other potential Walker Clark clients without first obtaining specific consent. We will not disclose or suggest the nature of any engagement without the client's consent.
Although we are seldom asked to do so, we will be happy to sign any standard confidentiality agreement that our client routinely uses in engagements with external professional service providers.
Conflicts security
We recognize that conflicts of interest may arise. Our clients believe that our experience working with a number of clients in a region or in an industry sector, adds value to our services and advice, even though we might be working with competitors. In return, we owe our clients a most serious duty to protect client information, trade secrets, and strategies. Moreover, we must take great care that we do nothing that could reasonably be construed to be acting to the advantage of one client at the disadvantage of others.
Therefore, before we accept an engagment, we ensure that no Walker Clark professional assigned to the project presently has any engagements, obligations, or relationships that we believe would conflict with our obligation to provide our best-informed and most diligent efforts and advice. Should we become aware of any fact or circumstance that could give rise to a conflict of interest, we promise to:
- Notify you promptly after we learn about the conflict.
- Disclose the nature of the potential conflict to the extent that is consistent with our obligations of confidentiality to other clients.
- Propose procedures and safeguards necessary to prevent an actual conflict of interest or risk to confidentiality. and
- Request instructions before proceeding with any further work on the engagement.
