Unlike general consulting firms that only occasionally work with lawyers, we work exclusively with the legal profession. We understand the special characteristics that make the practice of law unlike any other business or profession. Every service and product that we deliver has been especially developed or tailored for the legal profession.

Our clients are special. They understand that success in the practice of law is not measured by short-term profits or unsustainable levels of artificially produced financial performance. They are willing to make the investments and to lead the changes, both in their firms and in their markets, that produce long-term, multi-generational growth.

We realize that no single country or region has a monopoly on innovation or best practices. Rather than deliver a "North American perspective" or a "European approach," we bring to each of our clients the best ideas from lawyers all over the world.

 

We will go anywhere in the world to serve a client or to support a law society or professional organization. Our fees take into account the economics of our client's country and our fees also include travel expenses.

Most of our active clients have been with us for more than a year. Some of them were clients of Walker Clark members even before we formed our firm.

 

This is demonstrated in our approach to legal management consulting. We do not just write a big report with a lot of recommendations and then disappear. Instead, we include implementation advice in every engagement and work with our clients to achieve clearly defined business results.

Walker Clark was founded by a lawyer and a psychologist. Our international team also includes experienced experts in business economics, marketing, legal management, and professional development. We apply our professional disciplines and diverse business experience to the unique culture and needs of the legal profession and the special circumstances of each client. This produces breakthrough results that a single methodology can seldom achieve.

We believe that we should be responsible for the efficient and economical management of our engagements, not our clients. Therefore, we offer each client a fixed fee for every project.

 

We do not ask our clients to reimburse ordinary business expenses. When our engagements require travel, we usually include travel expenses in our fee. If travel costs cannot be estimated with reasonable certainty, we set a fixed travel allowance at the start of the engagement and do not exceed it without the client's advance consent.
